Yeah i don't see how Obama could get almost 350 electoral votes and only get 47% of the vote if McCain gets 53% then again stranger things have happened (Sarah Palin's VP Nomination for example)
Yeah, those figures call back memories of reading about those elections in the 19th century, when a candidate would win 100 more electoral votes than his nearest rival, despite earning the support of only 7 million more people. (Poor analogy, I know)
I just swapped them. In all of my posting and reposting, I think I'm becoming dyslexic or something...too much time in front of a screen. Anyway, my prediction is OBAMA WINS!!
I don't see how Minnesota is going to go to McCain. That state has been reliably blue in past elections and all the poll numbers give Obama a huge lead. Look at the polling averages http://www.pollster.com/polls/mn/08-mn-pres-ge-mvo.php. I still doubt that Florida can go blue but Obama does have a lead in the polls there.
I can't help but think you have the popular vote the wrong way around. Obama has had the popular vote on lock down for quite a while now.

Predictions:
CBS News: Obama 45-39 (Obama 53.6-46.4, +7.2)
AP/IPSOS: Obama 47-41 (Obama 53.4-46.6, +6.8)
Time: Obama 46-41 (Obama 52.9-47.1, +5.8)
